The view of the funicular railway from the breakfast room is a unique touch. You can watch the train ascend and descend while you eat. The room was adequately comfortable, and the breakfast was hearty enough to start the day right.
The shared bathroom situation may not be for everyone, especially during busy hours, which can lead to a little wait. The WiFi was occasionally spotty. Parking can be a bit tricky to navigate initially.

Overall it was fairly quiet and fabulous with window view directly onto the cliff railway which runs under the house. The employees were great and helpful. The location was great and amazing, approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Daniels Mill Watermill...

Solo traveler paradise
I had this wonderful experience with hosts Maria and Andy who were always around to give me tips about exploring the local area like the Mill and Castle ruins. The breakfast was good with so many choices that set me up for the day, and I loved sitting outside enjoying the peaceful view of the railway right outside my room.
The price was a bit steep but for the overall experience, I can't complain.

The shared bathroom was surprisingly not an issue, with no waiting times encountered during my two-night visit. The highlight was the warm welcome and comforting breakfast prepared each morning, certainly a boost for my daily adventures. There was a noticeable dusty smell in the room that took some getting used to, and WiFi reliability was erratic at times, which could be a concern for some travelers. Despite these minor issues, I appreciated the cozy atmosphere and the hosts' effort to accommodate breakfast times around guests' schedules.
